AFRIDIR This is a directory of Marine Scientists in Africa. It contains information on individuals involved in Marine or Freshwater Research and Management. It is intended to help scientists and anyone who needs to contact a marine or freshwater professional. Scientists can also get to know one another through this Directory. Visit AFRIDIR now

The directory provides information such as :

• Name, Job title and Job type
• Language

• Qualification (degrees)

• Organization: Organization Acronym, Department,Organization type

• Contact Address: City, State, Country, Phone, Fax, Email and URL 
• Description of activities:
  • Environment (marine, freshwater, brackish water)
  • Activities
  • Geographical description
  • Subject descriptors
• Citations of your most important and/or recent papers

This directory is available online. You can enter your own record and edit when necessary. When you first enter your record you will be requested to define a username and password. Keep these in a safe place as you will need them later. If you have lost your username and password then contact us. Once a year you will receive an email inviting you to correct your record. It is therefore important that you enter (and update when necessary) your email address correctly.

Although AFRIDIR focuses on Marine professionals, we also welcome professionals working on freshwater or brackishwater.
